I've had my W222 S350 for about three years now and honestly it's been a dream, but over the last couple of months the ride has turned into something between a marshmallow and a bouncy castle. Every speed bump on Hessa Street makes the front end dip twice and I feel like I'm driving an old American land yacht instead of a Mercedes. The compressor runs constantly too, which can't be normal. I know the Airmatic struts are a known weak point once you cross 120k km but the dealer quoted me around 28k for all four corners plus labor and I nearly fell off my chair. I've been digging through forums and found a place that does using genuine Arnott units and they actually calibrate the ride height sensors properly afterwards. Has anyone here replaced just the front two and gotten away with it or is it true that you should do all four at once? Also curious if the aftermarket struts are any good because the dealer prices are just insane for rubber airbags honestly. Any real world experience would help a ton.
